Inspiring Young Anglers

Who We Are

Somerset Youth Angling Club is a passionate, community-driven match fishing club dedicated to supporting and developing the next generation of anglers.

We pride ourselves on creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for young people to learn, grow, and compete in the sport of angling. Our club is run by a committed committee of volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to organise events, manage venues, and support our members throughout the season.

In addition to our regular fishing matches, we offer structured coaching sessions designed specifically for junior anglers. All of our coaching is led by qualified Level 2 Angling Coaches who are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding and first aid — so you can rest assured your child is in safe hands while learning valuable fishing skills.

From beginners learning the basics to experienced juniors refining their match techniques, we support every step of the journey. Our club is more than just fishing — it's about building confidence, making friends, and developing a lifelong love for the sport.

If you're looking for a club that combines competition with community, and learning with fun, we’d love to welcome you to Somerset Youth Angling Club.
