Our annual Christmas Junior Match at The Sedges Fishery is one of the highlights of the year—a festive finale to the junior angling season! This special event brings together our most committed young anglers for a day of fishing, fun, and seasonal cheer.
Please note: To qualify for the Christmas Match, juniors must have fished in at least 50% of the matches throughout the season. This ensures that the event rewards those who have shown dedication, consistency, and passion across the year.
The match includes festive prizes, a fun atmosphere, and maybe even a visit from Santa! It’s our way of celebrating the hard work and progress of our young anglers—and a great way to end the year on a high.
Venue & tackle
Junior fishing at The Sedges in Bridgwater is a fantastic opportunity for young anglers to develop their skills and enjoy the great outdoors. The well-maintained lakes are stocked with a variety of fish species, including carp, roach, and tench, making it an ideal spot for juniors to experience the thrill of their first catch. With designated safe fishing areas, easy access to the water, and knowledgeable staff on hand to provide guidance and tips, The Sedges offers a supportive and fun environment for children to learn and enjoy fishing. This family-friendly venue ensures that junior anglers have a memorable and rewarding fishing adventure.
